Personality: Known to most as stoic, silent and cold, Cloud is quite the opposite. His exterior is merely a facade; a cover to protect him from those who wish to hurt him. He cares deeply for his friends, and will stop at nothing to help or save them if the need ever arises. Cloud associates himself with the 'Cloudy Wolf', a symbol of his loyalty that he dreamt of constantly while he was serving ShinRa.
Appearance: Cloud possesses his trademark spiked blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, and a muscled figure due to constant, rigorous training. He has taken to wearing all black leather and cotton, and still covers his left arm despite the fact that he no longer suffers from geostigma. Cloud however, does not possess a pink ribbon like Tifa Lockheart does - he believes that Aeris' memory alive within his thoughts is enough.
Background: Cloud was raised by his single mother in a small town called Nibelheim. As just another average kid, like all boys his age, Cloud grew up with the belief that all boys should become a part of the ShinRa faction called Soldier, and gain their honour by fighting for their country. At the ripe age of 15, Cloud packed his belongings, said goodbye to his only friend at the time, Tifa Lockheart, and headed off to begin his journey.
But not all was meant to be. Various illusions, his strange friendship with the one known as Zack, and the general who seemed to take him beneath his wing, General Sephiroth...the world was definitely not at peace. Cloud, along with his friends (Of whom he now considers family), defeated the evilly-turned Sephiroth from destroying the world using Meteor, became world famous as the stoic 'Strife' and got on with life by starting a delivery service with Tifa, known as 'Strife Deliveries'.
Two years later, sickness began to strike what seemed to be anyone randomly. Cloud himself developed what was christened 'Geostigma', and regretfully got on with life without telling anyone of his disease. But it wasn't to stay that way...his old enemy, Rufus Shinra, got into contact with him and asked for his help. At first Cloud refused, reluctant to get involved with anything that had to do with ShinRa, but was soon pushed right into the action by those who called him 'brother'.
The three silver haired men, Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz, were defeated after many battles, many occurances and after many questions were discovered and answered. Jenova had been sought, found, and then lost once more. Sephiroth's spirit had been channelled through Kadaj, then defeated and banished once more. Geostigma was cured for the final time. Cloud died once, but was returned to life by the ever forgiving Lifestream. New thought patterns were adopted; Cloud took a different outlook on life. There was no pain...it was only what you put upon yourself. He chose to open up to those around him rather than hide from them like he had before.
Cloud returned to his business, keeping a close eye upon all those he cared about the most. What happens now is something he hasn't known much of, but he is determined to find out why so many people are dying once again. The young boy, searching for something unknown to him, remains hidden to Cloud's knowledge. But when he does find out, Cloud will help. Because the world needs a hero.
